Chase Bridge Community Choir is a friendly, energetic, all-ages choir group in Twickenham for anybody in the community

Chase Bridge School has always had a great reputation for music and supports choirs forty-strong at all age groups.  A small group of parents who wanted to sing considered it a bit of a shame that our children came together to enjoy music together but we didn’t have the chance.  We also aspired to make music one of the ways that the school could reinforce ties with the local community- and rather than just forming a parents choir we went with the idea of a community choir to extend our appeal!

Finally… to get things going we did a ‘singing challenge’…. join the choir and in four weeks we would rehearse, learn music and perform at the school summer fair.  Over 60% of the choir had never sung before but in July 2017 we exceeded all expectations and performed in front of a few hundred families at the school summer fair.

Since then we have not looked back and the choir continues to grow and bring in more members from the community and new parents.

If you want a choir where you’ll exceed your expectations musically and have a cracking laugh at the same time then we are for you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?
It is £2.50 per rehearsal as we have some fixed costs which need covering. All profits from concerts go to the school to support music for the children. The musical director does it for free (and for fun!).
What kind of music do we perform?
A real mix to keep some variety, interest and challenge. This year we are doing Mozart, South African Zulu chants, Christmas carols, African American spirituals, Bon Jovi and Les Miserables. We sing anything we enjoy and which means the choir learns and improves.
When do you rehearse?
During term time on Tuesday nights from 1945-2145hrs. We don’t rehearse over school holidays.
